"the murder was committed on the vast plane separating each sector"
-Antonio Urdiales
Antonio died today. I didn't really know him, well I mean. I was just one of his basically enormous circle of friends on Facebook. I chatted with him, shared music, and pressed the like button for a bunch of stuff he posted. I can't count the number of times his posts, rapid fire style, filled my Facebook main page or whatever it's called. He turned posting on blogs, comment pages and Facebook into an art. His hieroglyphic like posts ( shit, actually his hieroglyphic like
screen names) were somehow beautiful to just look at, which is basically unheard of in the conformist samey-ness of Facebook. I sent him a get well card on Saturday. It was a Edward Gorey Christmas card that I wrote on with a sharpie. I paid $6 to get it to him as fast asI could afford but I doubt he got it. Since music was such a large part of his life, I feel the need to compile a bunch of music he liked or would have. This is a meager tribute to him, especially compared to how bright he showed, but it's what I can handle right now.
PS- Here's an awesome poem he published in Liesisle.

Really lovely Mark.
thanks, mark. antonio leaves such a void--i didn't know him one-on-one, only in the group, but am feeling this loss deeply. such an original. sent him at the hospital one of my twin peaks postcards--it certainly didn't make it in time. this is just... damnit. god.
Nice post, Mark. xx
